HENDERSON -- Lance Davis rallied from an opening-set loss and Wayne Country Day earned a 9-0, non-conference victory over short-handed Kerr-Vance on Thursday afternoon.

Davis, the No. 4 seed, turned back Daniel Adkins 4-6, 6-2, 10-7.

Sam Dively, Hunter Hawkins and Young Wang each earned a singles point against the Spartans, who had just four players available for the match.

Dively-Hawkins and Nolan Davis-Charlie Dees each claimed a doubles win.

Weather permitting, the Chargers (4-2 overall) travel to defending independent 1-A state champion Oakwood today.
