Wayne Christian quartet combines for no-hitter

ERWIN -- Ted Suggs, Austin Howell, Tanner Rose and Holden Foster combined for a no-hitter on the mound during Wayne Christian's 18-0, mercy-rule win over Carolina Christian 1-A Conference foe Cape Fear Christian on Thursday.
The quartet combined for eight strikeouts.
Howell led the Eagles with two hits and three RBI. Suggs, Rose and Trey Hinton each had two hits for the Eagles. Tyler Mozingo and Ryan Kennedy rounded out the 13-hit attack with a single apiece.
Weather permitting, Wayne Christian (3-2 overall) faces Bethel Christian today.
