Panthers double up Cougars

Goldsboro scratched out nine hits, but couldn't hold down North Johnston in a 12-6, non-conference loss on Wednesday.
Isaiah Core and Ray'Quan Griffin each had two hits for the Cougars. Core, Thomas Vick and Sterling Dodson each drove in a run. The Cougars struck out 12 times as a team.
Thomas Vick endured the loss on the mound after pitching five innings and giving up eight earned runs with three strikeouts.
Goldsboro (1-6 overall) travels to South Lenoir next Tuesday.
