* Baseball: C.B. Aycock 5, D.H. Conley 2 -- The Golden Falcons scored three runs in the sixth inning to pull away from the Vikings. Zack Mott's two-RBI double put the Golden Falcons ahead for good. Trey Jordan got the win on the mound for Aycock, pitching seven innings and giving up one earned run on seven hits. Nolan Harrell and Cody Whaley each had two hits for the Golden Falcons.
Middle schools
* Softball: Neuse Christian 13, Wayne Christian 3 -- Wayne Christian hung with Neuse Christian for four innings before Neuse erupted for seven runs in the fifth. Wayne Christian drops to 0-2 and will travel to Ridgecraft on Thursday.
