Langston, West lead Aycock in ECC 3A/4A golf meet

Mitchell Langston and Noah West each carded identical 18-hole rounds of 79 as Charles B. Aycock finished second in the second Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference meet of the season.
Blake Bartlett and Brice Jones added scores of 80 and 84, respectively, to complete the Golden Falcons' team total of 329. Alex Weaver and Cody Freels also participated.
Blake Poland emerged as Eastern Wayne's lowest-scoring competitor with an 86. Victor Kokiko posted an 88, followed by Drew Grady (90) and Zack Lancaster (91). Willis Underwood finished one stroke behind Lancaster. Noah Forrester also battled for 18 holes.
The Warriors shot 361 as a team.
Southern Wayne compiled a four-player of 393. First names were not provided to the News-Argus.
