Warner captures 3 events in ECC 3A/4A track meet

NEW BERN -- Courtney Warner won the 100-, 200- and 400-meter races and helped guide the 1,600-meter relay team to a first-place finish as Charles B. Aycock defeated New Bern and Southern Wayne in an Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference meet Wednesday afternoon.
Mackenzie Stewart, Taylor Daniels, Anna Greenwell and Tara Price won the 4x800 relay for the Golden Falcons, who finished with 74 points.
Abby Shenk and Cyerra Carter went 1-2 in the triple jump. Lauren Cline and Carter took first in long jump and triple jump. Sarah Gregory wont the 3200-meter race and Stewart finished in second.
The Golden Falcons also took second place in two other events as well.
New Bern finished with 68 points and Southern Wayne had 28.
