Ford almost hits for the cycle, McCollum homers ... again ... for Gators

Rachel McCollum launched her fifth home run of the season and struck out 12 batters in the circle as Spring Creek dominated Carolina 1-A opponent Lakewood 20-0 in five innings on Tuesday.
Sarah Ford had three hits and was a home run shy of the cycle. Sydney Ocker swatted two doubles in her three-hit performance. Along with Ocker, Alanna Price and Daisy Martinez each doubled.
Ashley Marriner, Samantha Crouch and Nikki Linker all had hits to round out the offense.
Spring Creek improved to 4-0 overall this season.
