Bulldogs dominate Tigers on softball diamond

Princeton scratched out 12 hits and drew 10 walks on its way to 17-0 mercy-rule victory over Carolina 1-A Conference opponent James Kenan on Tuesday.
Kasey Johnson, Logan Pace, Hailey Wood, Casey Mitchell and Beth Braswell all had two hits for the Bulldogs. Taylor Carroll and Kelsey Peedin each had a hit to round out the attack.
Johnson took the win on the mound, throwing 4 1/3 innings of three-hit ball. She struck out six and walked none. Mitchell finished the game off in relief, needing just six pitches to get two outs.
Princeton improved to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in league play.
