Wayne Christian defeats Spring Creek

Wayne Christian overcame four defensive miscues and scratched across the game-winning run in the top of the seventh inning to edge Spring Creek, 4-3, in non-conference action.
Holden Foster led the Eagles with three hits and one RBI. Tanner Rose drove in two runs and Hunter Burt had an RBI as well.
Austin Howell had two hits out of the leadoff spot and scored twice.
Allen Coor led Spring Creek with a two-hit performance and drove in a run. Logan Miller, Chad Spurgeon and Sawyer Smith each had a hit for the Gators.
Foster got the win on the mound after a combined effort on the mound by Rose, Ted Suggs and Foster. The trio gave up five hits, struck out eight and walked one.
Sawyer Smith received the mound loss, surrendering three hits and a run in two innings of relief. Will Rouse pitched the first five innings and gave up three runs, one earned, on five hits.
