Newsome, Sutton each provide two hits in Warriors' softball loss

Emily Newsome and Elizabeth Sutton provided two hits apiece in Eastern Wayne's 11-8, non-conference loss to Nash Central on Thursday.
Trisha Bell, Tamarria Smith, Jaela Parks, Emily Uzzell and Jeanice McCullen each had one hit. Uzzell started inside the pitcher's circle and endured the loss.
Bell threw the seventh.
The Warriors (0-2 overall) travel to South Central today in the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference opener for both teams.
