Rosewood matmen hammer South Lenoir, Greene Central

SNOW HILL -- Perennial 1-A wrestling juggernaut Rosewood prevailed in 17 of 18 contested matches, and allowed just six points total in a tri-meet sweep of South Lenoir and host Greene Central on Thursday evening.
The Eagles (38-4 overall) reeled off 70 consecutive points in a 70-6 romp over South Lenoir and handed the Rams an 80-0 defeat. It was Rosewood's second shutout of the season.
Rosewood pinned 15 opponents, earned a pair of major decisions and received 11 forfeits.
A total of fifteen wrestlers combined for 28 wins for the Eagles. Jayden Thomas, David Dotson, Joseph Waters, Evan Reiss, Cam Helt, Kaleb Smith, Tyree Owens, Josh Drew, Garner Beasley, Kaleb Taylor, Tanner Smith and Malique Boyd each concluded the night 2-0.
Quan Joyner, Sam Drew and Reid Amodeo logged one win apiece.
