WENDELL -- Charles B. Aycock had three silver medalists and finished seventh overall in the annual Jolly Roger Invitational contested at Corinth-Holders High School.
Jacob Dickenson (120 pounds), Zack Howard (132) and Joshua Wallace (152) each emerged as the runner-up in their respective weight divisions. Teammates Justin Washington (195) and Brandon Washington (220) each took fourth place.
The Golden Falcons compiled 77 team points -- one point behind sixth-place finisher Topsail. Rocky Mount won the team championship.
"It is hard for me to judge (Saturday's performance) because compared to last year, we did much better but reflecting on what we have accomplished this year, it felt a little disappointing," CBA head coach Ronnie Allen said.
"I guess that is both good and bad. We have one more match and tournament before our conference tournament and regionals."
Aycock returns home Wednesday for senior night against county archrival Eastern Wayne. Match time is 7 p.m.
