Atkins leads Saints past South Central

DUDLEY -- Zaria Atkins just missed out on a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds as Southern Wayne upended Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A opponent South Central 62-55 on Tuesday night.
Atkins handed out seven assists.
Cierra Thompson added 11 points and Monica Manley scored 12.
Southern Wayne (6-8 overall, 1-2 ECC) plays New Bern on Friday.
