La GRANGE -- Eastern Wayne coach Chris Roberts saw the aggressiveness from his big men that he has been hoping to see all season in an 81-68, non-conference win over North Lenoir inside Wooten Gym on Wednesday evening.

All three starting forwards -- Malik Richard, Zeke Martin and Micah Smith -- scored in double figures. Richard led all scorers with 17 points and 14 rebounds, while Martin had 16 points and 12 boards.

Smith scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds in three quarters before getting a cut on the lip that forced him to sit out the rest of the game. He received six stitches afterwards.

Blake Poland chipped in 10 points for the Warriors.

"Defensively we upped the intensity and I think that was a key and we were able to get out and run on them like we've been trying to," Roberts said.

The Warriors (3-9 overall) travel to D.H. Conley on Friday.
