1A golf -- Eagles' Burton finishes among top 15

FOXFIRE VILLAGE -- Rosewood junior Lindsey Burton placed 14th overall during the 2014 N.C. High School Athletic Association Classes 1-A/2-A golf championships, which concluded Tuesday.
Burton shot a two-day total of 182 on the par-72 Red Fox Course at the Foxfire Resort and Golf Club.
Salisbury won the team title by 42 strokes over Avery County.
