DURHAM -- Sarah Crooks pounded out eight kills and served seven aces during Wayne Country Day's 25-13, 25-18, 25-9 dismantling of Kestrel Heights on Monday afternoon.
Olivia Dively and Tiffany Larsen contributed five kills apiece. Rachel Uzzell logged a match-high 20 assists, served five aces and supplied three kills.
"This definitely wasn't our cleanest match, but I am happy about the win," second-year WCDS head coach Steven Mau said. "KH is a scrappy school, but we didn't play to potential tonight. We finally found a good groove inthe third set and played much better volleyball.
"We are looking to keep our fires hot for the final push of the season."
The Chargers (8-7 overall) won for the fifth time in their last seven outings. They entertain Trinity Christian of Fayetteville today.
