Ricks, Edwards lead Princeton in Carolina 1A victory

Freshman Emily Ricks has stepped in to her role as a varsity hitter seamlessly. On Tuesday she tied teammate Kasey Edwards with eight kills in Princeton's 25-14, 25-17, 25-23 victory over Carolina 1-A conference opponent Spring Creek.
Kasey Edwards also had three aces and two blocks. Taylor Carroll had five kills and Jenna Woodard had five digs.
Charley Cox handed out 24 assists.
Rachel McCollum had eight kills and Sarah Ford had 11 assists for the Gators. Lexi Reyes chipped in three digs.
Princeton (13-1 overall, 10-1) travels to Eastern Carolina 2-A leader South Lenoir today.
