Golden Falcons close to clinching ECC 3A/4A girls' tennis crown

GREENVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock continued its run through the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A conference with a 7-2 triumph over J.H. Rose on Thursday afternoon.
Aycock's lone losses came in the first and last matches of the evening, as Ashton Walker endured a rare loss in a three-set affair.
Cassidy Coerver, Casie Belom, Kassidy Pitchford, Sabrina Johnson and Emmie Collins all took wins in singles play.
Walker-Pitchford won 8-1 at No. 1 doubles match and Coerver-Belom won 8-5 at No. 2.
CBA is 11-1 overall and 9-0 in ECC 3-A/4-A play.
