Wayne Christian falls in CCC volleyball opener

Wayne Christian couldn't keep up with Carolina Christian 1-A Conference foe Cape Fear Christian in a 21-25, 8-25, 18-25 loss Tuesday evening.
Emily Wells led the Eagles with nine assists. Senior libero Reagan Taylor had a team-high 16 digs and Hannah Sladick had four kills and two blocks.
The Eagles (3-6 overall, 0-1 CCC) entertain Neuse Christian on Friday.
