North Raleigh Christian prevailed in five of singles matches and upended Wayne Country Day, 5-1, in a weather-shortened match at Wayne Community College on Tuesday afternoon.
Thunderstorms cancelled doubles play.
Top-seeded Gianna Democko earned the Chargers' lone point with a come-from-behind 3-6, 7-6, 12-10 win over NRCA's Lauren French.
"North Raleigh Christian has a very talented team top-to-bottom," WCDS head coach Mark Phillips said. "I was proud of the fight all of our girls displayed. We will learn from this match and the experience will make us stronger going forward."
The Chargers (6-1 overall) play host to Village Christian on Thursday.
