ATLANTIC BEACH -- Inspiration remains the overall leader after Tuesday's action involved billfish releases and gamefish catches during the 56th annual Big Rock Blue Marlin tournament.
Anglers collected 10 blue marlins and 20 white marlins, but nothing like the big ones reeled in on Monday. Inspiration remained the overall leader, followed by Eye Catcher and 2010 champion Carnivore.
Carnivore, with Goldsboro angler Brandon Bass aboard, released a white marlin during the mid-afternoon hours. Chainlink, owned by Wes Seegars of Goldsboro, released a white marlin just before noon.
Floar Plan, owned by Randy Floars of Goldsboro, lost a hookup around 3:30 p.m.
Of the 120 boats entered in the tournament, 73 dropped lines in the water.
