Rosewood senior Dylan Cuddington claimed his third consecutive N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 1-A eastern regional singles championship on Saturday.
Cuddington defeated Riverside Martin's Chase Connor 6-1, 6-1 in the championship match.
The Eagles' No. 1 doubles of Jordan Price-Samuel Drew fell in quarterfinal-round play to Raleigh Charter. The No. 2 tandem of Jeremy Lintner-Lucas Parrish also lost in the quarterfinals.
"This was the first time I could recall that all of our players won their first-round matches," RHS head coach Clifton Greenup said. "They played very well among a field of talented players from across the eastern part of the state."
