Preps digest: JV, middle schools

JV sports
* Baseball: C.B. Aycock 6, D.H. Conley 5 -- Cameron Kornegay hit a walk-off RBI single to give the Golden Falcons a 6-5 win over D.H. Conley on Wednesday afternoon. Bryce Anders got the pitching win throwing two innings of no-hit relief for Chandler Matthews. Anders, Kornegay, Zach Mott, Mason Watt, Chandler Gentry and Landon Casey contributed to the 10-hit effort for the Golden Falcons. C.B. Aycock improved to 12-4 overall this season.
Middle schools
* Girls' soccer: Greenwood 3, Spring Creek 1 -- Claire Molloy scored twice and Madison Tallarida rounded out the goals as Greenwood beat Spring Creek 3-1 Wednesday. Greenwood improves to 7-1 this season and will host Rosewood today.
