WCDS diamond 9 fall in league play

Wayne Country Day used four pitchers for the second straight outing and endured a 10-2 setback to Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A Conference foe Freedom Christian.
Mason Bland, John Strickland, Mitch Turnage and Jacob Magera all saw time on the mound for the Chargers. The quartet combined for four strikeouts and allowed just four earned runs on eight hits.
Strickland provided one hit and an RBI.
Wayne Country Day (6-5 overall, 2-3 CPIC) visits Epiphany on Monday.
