Chargers' defense protects Tanner's goal

Wayne Country Day changed its formation at halftime and Margaret Tanner notched the lone goal in a 1-0 victory over Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A Conference rival Freedom Christian.
Tanner scored off of Langley Barnes' assist.
Goalie Bailee Creger recorded her seventh shutout in eight games this season.
The Chargers (5-1-2 overall, 3-1-1 CPIC) entertain Community Christian on Monday.
