Gators earn mercy-rule shutout win

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Spring Creek remained undefeated with a 15-0 mercy-rule shutout of fellow Carolina 1-A Conference member Neuse Charter Tuesday night.
Hunter Walker got the win and Matt Dupuy came on in relief to preserve the shutout.
Chad Spurgeon led the offense with a double, triple and 7 RBI. Mason Harkay and Allen Coor had two hits apiece. Sawyer Smith, Will Rouse, Robert Rogers, Austin Reynolds, Levi Miller and Kaden Geelen all had a hit for the Gators.
Spring Creek (11-2 overall, 8-0 CC) is scheduled to host South Lenoir today.
