Lakewood stuns 2013 Carolina 1A baseball champ North Duplin

Lakewood took the lead for good on a two-run home run from Ross Strickland Tuesday night as Lakewood shocked North Duplin, 5-3, in a Carolina 1-A affair.
Trey Pate started on the mound for the Rebels and struck out six.
Charlie Mac Holloman had three hits and drove in a run and Taylan Lewis added two singles.
North Duplin (6-4 overall, 5-3 CC) returns to action April 15 in the Duplin County Easter Invitational.
