Saints held to 2 hits in softball loss

DUDLEY -- Southern Wayne mustered just two hits against New Bern hurler Kristen Daugthridge in a 2-0 loss in Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference play Wednesday.
Haley Brogden and Kelsey Hayes tallied singles for the Saints. Brogden endured the pitching loss allowing six hits. She also had five strikeouts.
Southern Wayne (2-4 overall, 1-2 ECC) plays host to J.H. Rose on Friday.
