Adams claims medalist honors in Carolina 1A golf match

SALEMBURG -- Nick Adams claimed medalist honors with a 68 and Rosewood handed Lakewood a 10-stroke defeat during their second Carolina 1-A Conference match of the season.
The Eagles posted a four-player total of 352, compared to 362 for the Leopards. Spring Creek ended up third at 395, followed b Princeton (413), James Kenan (417) and North Duplin (420).
Neither Neuse Charter nor Hobbton recorded a team score.
Dylan Greene emerged as Rosewood's second-lowest scorer with a 92. Teammates Jeremy Mercer and Alex Brogden each contributed a 96.
Spring Creek's Kyle Stone finished runner-up to Adams with a 74. The threesome of Justin Price (103), Nathan Tanner (108) and Jimmy Brown (110) completed the Gators' four-player total.
James Kenan's Cole Pridgen placed third among individual golfers with a 75.
North Duplin's Hunter Brock carded a 90.
