Rosewood grapplers hand EW a non-conference loss

Rosewood matched its single-season school record for dual-team victories at 39 with a 43-26, non-conference victory over Eastern Wayne on Thursday evening.
The Eagles (39-2 overall) seized control with three consecutive individual wins in the middle weights. Kaleb Smith scored a 7-3 decision over Warriors senior Quadrick Williams at 160 pounds. Teammates Josh Drew and Garner Beasley collected back-to-back forfeits at 170 and 182 pounds, respectively.
Rayquan Jones scored technical fall (19-4) over Duane Keys at 220 pounds. Teammates Malique Boyd, David Dotson, Samuel Drew and Evan Reiss also emerged victorious for the Eagles, who are 3-0 against the Warriors this season.
Eastern Wayne (12-15) received individual wins from Mario Harper, Michael Walston, Kevon Tune, Julian Bruton, Rashaun Pridgen and heavyweight Bryan Wooten.
