Chargers go 1-1 in Cape Fear Christian Senior Classic

ERWIN -- Bailee Creger poured in a game-high 16 points and Wayne Country Day placed third in the Cape Fear Christian Senior Classic with a 44-19 triumph over Neuse Charter.
Kaitlyn Daniels supplied 13 points. Karis Hawkins and Lillian Freeman contributed seven and six points, respectively. Maggie O'Daniel dropped in two points.
The Chargers fell to CFCA 48-11 in the first round. O'Daniel scored four points, while Daniels added three. Hawkins and Creger collected two points apiece.
Wayne Country Day, directed by first-year head coach CC Waters, opens its home schedule Tuesday against Wilson Christian. Tip-off is 6 p.m.
