Chargers net CPIC tennis shutout

Wayne Country Day swept the singles and doubles courts during a 9-0 conquest of Epiphany on the Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A Conference scene Monday afternoon.
Taylor Willman, Jennifer Potts, Ally Willman, Mollie Catherine McDonald, Meredith Roethling and Margaux Pope each triumphed in singles play.
A. Willman-Potts, T. Willman-Pope and Roethling-McDonald completed the shutout in doubles action.
The Chargers (9-2 overall, 3-0 CPIC) visit Ahoskie Ridgecroft today and travel to long-time nemesis Greenfield on Thursday.
