Cougars snap 2-game skid on soccer pitch

PRINCETON -- Goldsboro got its offense on track early and defeated former Carolina 1-A Conference rival Princeton 5-2 on Wednesday night.
Damon Pate led the Cougars with two goals. Xan Pate, Aaron Pate and Jacob Seate each added one goal in the win.
Luke McAlduff had eight saves in goal for the Cougars and was assisted by strong defensive play by Aaron Parnell and Jared Howard.
Goldsboro (1-2-0 overall) visits Rosewood on Tuesday.
