Ayden-Grifton slips past Spring Creek

AYDEN -- Spring Creek jumped ahead early, but Ayden-Grifton rallied for a 4-3 victory in Carolina 1-A Conference play Friday evening.
The Chargers scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to claim the win.
Luke Miller, Logan Miller, Allen Coor, Chad Spurgeon and Tre Hammonds each recorded one hit for the Gators.
Hunter Walker suffered the loss on the pitcher's mound.
Spring Creek (5-5 overall, 1-1 CC) returns to action Apr. 4 against North Johnston in the annual Deacon Jones Invitational, which is hosted by Princeton High School.
