Greene Central slips past EPC foe SW Edgecombe

SNOW HILL -- Greene Central jumped ahead early and held on for a 10-8 win over Eastern Plains 2-A Conference foe SouthWest Edgecombe on Wednesday afternoon.
Austin Mooring got the win on the pitcher's mound. Martin allowed two runs over five innings and struck out 11 batters.
Kevin Ormond paced the Rams' offense with three hits and three runs batted in. Ben Brann and Chad Murphy each added two hits.
Greene Central (4-2 overall) visists Charles B. Aycock on Friday.
