Saints stay unbeaten on softball diamond

Southern Wayne scored early and often en route to a sweep of the season series over Goldsboro. The Saints prevailed 28-5 on Monday afternoon.
Claire Kennedy led Southern Wayne with three hits and five runs batted in. Morgan Best added three hits and three RBI.
Best earned the win in the pitcher's circle as four Saint hurlers combined for a one-hitter.
Brandy Johnson recorded the Cougars lone hit.
Southern Wayne (3-0 overall) plays host to Princeton on Thursday.
