Eastern Wayne girls escape Cleveland

CLAYTON -- Eastern Wayne hung on for a 38-30 win at Cleveland on Tuesday evening.
It was the Eastern Carolina 3-A opener for both teams.
Nijah Muhammad led the Warriors with nine points. Jasmine Covinton and Elondia Grant each provided five points.
Eastern Wayne travels to Ayden-Grifton on Thursday.
