Golden Falcons hammer South Brunswick, 5-1, in tennis

SOUTHPORT -- Charles B. Aycock defeat South Brunswick 5-1 in the first round of the NCHSAA 3-A dual team playoffs on Tuesday afternoon.
Ashton Walker improved to 24-0 this season with a win at No. 1 singles. Katie Gurley, Rachel Jackson, Casie Belom and Cassidy Coerver each supplied a singles point.
The Golden Falcons (16-5 overall) face either league rival Triton or Currituck County in second-round play next Tuesday.
