MOUNT OLIVE -- Alex Bosch notched the eventual game-winning goal and Mount Olive College rallied past in-state foe Chowan University, 4-3, at Amon Field on Wednesday afternoon.

The Braves (2-8-0 overall) grabbed a 1-0 lead and kept the advantage through halftime.

Once the Trojans found the back of the net, the flood gates opened.

Wennah delivered his second goal of the season with help from a Tanner Tolston assist. Wennah received the pass just to the left of the goal, spun around a defender then fired.

In the 55th minute, Tolston took care of things himself, turning a corner kick into a 2-2 tie. Macon Watkins got the assist. It was Tolston's first goal of the season.

Mount Olive (3-6-1) went ahead for good when Bosch found himself in the right place at the right time, redirecting a Wennah shot just inside the left side of the goal with a header. Bosch also recorded his first goal.

Wennah capped off the Trojans' comeback with an improbable shot in the 84th minute. From 25 yards out, he out-fought a Hawk defender, spun, and let fly a blind shot that flew just over the goalkeeper's outstretched hand.

The Trojans return to action Oct. 8 at USC Aiken.

MOUNT OLIVE -- Carlee Bock's through ball set up Damilia Brooks' goal less than two minutes into the match, and Mount Olive cruised to a 4-0 victory over Chowan at Amon Field on Wednesday evening.

The Trojans outshot the Hawks 35-1, but needed two goals late in the second half to pull away.

Mount Olive (3-7-1 overall) got on the scoreboard on its first shot of the contest as Bock's service from 35 yards out found Brooks just above the 18. Brooks beat the keeper on a one-on-one to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead at the 1:40 mark.

The Trojans outshot Chowan 15-0 in the first half, but had to wait until their 12th shot to add to their lead. Daisy Thomas carried the ball down the left sideline, then dribbled to the center and scored from just inside the box at 33:03 as the Trojans went into halftime with a 2-0 lead.

Mount Olive used a corner kick at the 71:00 mark to extend its lead to 3-0. Tia Rose played the ball from the left corner directly onto the foot of Jennifer Sickles, who one-touched the ball just across the line from directly in front of the goal.

The Trojans completed the scoring at 82:05 on Maddy Robak's direct kick into the upper 90 from just above the top right of the box.

Trojan goalkeeper Carolin Edenhofner recorded a save on Chowan's lone shot midway through the second half. Mount Olive was flagged for offsides six times, one call negating Ellie Barnes' goal in the ninth minute.

MOC travels to league rival Barton on Oct. 10.
