Golden Falcons blank Saints in tennis

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock concluded regular-season play with a 9-0 rout of Southern Wayne on Thursday afternoon.
Ashton Walker, Katie Gourley, Rachel Jackson, Kimber Pender, Casey Belom and Cassidy Coerver each recorded a singles win for the Golden Falcons.
The tandems of Walker-Gourley, Jackson-Pender, Belom-Coerver also prevailed.
Aycock (14-5 overall, 9-3 ECC) faces Triton on Monday at Mount Olive College to determine the Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference's No. 2 seed for the state dual-team playoffs. The match begins at 4 p.m.
