Wayne North wins in Junior Legion

Wayne North limited Charles B. Aycock to three hits and squeezed out a 4-2 victory in the first of three consecutive meetings in three days between the Junior American Legion baseball rivals.
The teams meet tonight in Pikeville. Game time is 7 p.m.
Garrett Joyner and Noah West each singled, while Hank Smitherman doubled for Aycock. Bobby Hampton collected the team's lone RBI.
Jacob Naughton endured the mound loss, yielding four earned runs on six hits and five walks in a six-inning effort. Tim Naughton tossed one inning of one-strikeout relief.
Individual statistics were not available for Wayne North.
