Rams dump Bruins on EPC 2-A women's tennis scene

WILSON -- Greene Central swept the singles and doubles matches in a 9-0 shutout over Eastern Plains 2-A Conference rival Beddingfield on Friday afternoon.
Lauren Carraway, Jessica Hatch, Hayes Lovett, Brittany Colie, Laurie Sutton and Kayla Radford each emerged victorious in singles play. Carraway-Hatch, Colie-Sutton and Lovett-Radford accounted for the Rams' doubles points.
"We played very consistent tennis in singles today," said Greene Central head coach Donald Clark. "Our team is starting to learn the importance of being patient."
The Rams (12-7 overall, 8-1 EPC) entertain SouthWest Edgecombe on Tuesday.
