WINTERVILLE -- South Central pushed the ball up and down the field with a methodical ground game en route to a 34-7 win over Greene Central on Friday night.
Emontre McNeil paced the Falcons with 184 yards and three touchdowns. The home team tallied 303 total rushing yards on 51 carries.
"Physically they really pushed us around on the offensive line," said Greene Central head coach Ken Grantham. "Those guys lift weights all year and it showed in the first game. We have to get tougher going into next week."
Rashaad Yelverton led the Rams' rushing attack with 55 yards on eight carries. Yelverton scored the Rams' lone touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 12-yard run.
Brandon Suit completed three passes for 13 yards and tacked on 12 yards on the ground.
Greene Central (0-1 overall) plays host to Ayden-Grifton on Friday.
