East Duplin routs N. Lenoir

LaGRANGE -- North Lenoir took an early 7-0 lead, but East Duplin scored 63 unanswered points in the Hawks' season-opening, 63-7 loss on Friday night.
Tyler Clark's 44-yard fumble return for a touchdown and Caleb Baird's extra point gave North Lenoir a 7-0 lead fewer than two minutes into the game.
East Duplin scored twice in the final two minutes of the first quarter and added three more touchdowns before halftime.
Tyler Clark led the Hawks with 29 yards rushing.
North Lenoir (0-1 overall) travels to North Johnston next Friday.
