Goldsboro native Clarence Rose will continue his golf career at Walnut Creek Country Club.

Rose will bring his years of training and experience in his return to his home course on April 1 as the new head golf professional.

In 1981, Rose joined the PGA Tour. He subsequently played on the Nationwide Tour and finally the seniors Champion Tour. He finished his career with three Tour victories, and plans to carry on and improve the great golf traditions at WCCC.

According to the N.C. Golf panel, in partnership with Business North Carolina magazine, Walnut Creek is rated in the top 10 of the 12 most-popular courses in eastern North Carolina. It is also rated No. 1 in a listing of "Hidden Gems" in eastern North Carolina ahead of courses in Rocky Mount, Tarboro, Kinston and Fayetteville.

Always known for its outstanding community support, Walnut Creek Country Club will play host to a growing schedule of member and community fund-raising events in the coming months. Rose will direct the growth and development of those functions starting with the Hooter's Tour on April 6 and the Spring Member-Member tournament, which is April 24-25.

Walnut Creek is a private country club, open to all persons who wish to qualify.
