WILSON -- Gregory Alexander notched his first hat trick (three goals) of the season as Wayne Christian hammered Community Christian 5-1 in The Brittany Willis Memorial Soccer Scholarship Showcase.
It was a Carolina Christian 1-A Conference match.
Chase Darden added two goals for the Eagles, who remained unbeaten in two outings this season against CCC opposition. Alexander, Darden and Jordan Crouthamel each recorded an assist.
Goalie Chase King and backup Gregory Johnson combined for six saves against the Cyclones.
Wayne Christian (2-0-0 overall) entertains county archrival Wayne Country Day today. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:15 p.m.
