DORIS J. COLEMAN

Doris J. Coleman, 79, 803 East End Circle, died Friday at Pruitt Health-Neuse, New Bern.
She was educated in Lenoir County public schools, graduated Dillard High School and worked as nurse and shift supervisor of acute admissions unit at Cherry Hospital until her retirement in 1980.
She was a member of Oak Forest Church of Christ.
She is survived by her children, Belinda J. Coleman (Goldsboro), Charlene C. Garmon (Whitsett, N.C.) and Darryl C. Coleman Sr. (Cassandra Yvette), Emerson, Kan.; grandchildren, April C. Coleman, Rachelle C. Coleman, Darryl C. Coleman Jr (Sarah), Chara G. Garmon and Joseph O. Coleman; two great-grandchildren, Jubilee G. and Benaiah B. Coleman; siblings Julia J. Jones (John), New Bern, N.C., John D. Davis Jr. (Mitchellville, Md.) and Gregory D. Davis (Washington, D.C.); and a host of devoted relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Oak Forest Church of Christ. Her mortal remains will be laid to rest in Wayne Memorial Park.
The visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
In addition to the residence, the family will receive friends at 421 Odell St.
