Pattie Gayle Price Daly, 80, Goldsboro, quietly and peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018.

Pattie was born Jan. 11, 1938, to the late Dalton and Dora Ruth McArthur Price. Her husband, Robert Grady Daly, preceded her in death Feb. 1, 1999.

She proudly stood by her husband during his career with the United States Navy. Upon his discharge from service and their returning home she assisted with the family farming operation.

Pattie was a retired teacher with Wayne County Public Schools. She made many lifelong relationships with students and teachers during a career that included stints at Brogden and Mount Olive Junior High School.

Pattie lived to be outdoors. She loved working in her yard and took great pride in its appearance. With Pattie one thing was certain, you wouldn’t outwork her and you never had to wonder where she stood on matters.

Pattie was a proud supporter of the National Rifle Association and was a die-hard staunch Republican. She took great pride in quietly helping others and supporting local causes.

A service to celebrate Pattie’s life will be Sunday, July 22, at 3 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, LaGrange. Burial will follow in Seven Springs Cemetery.

Pattie is survived by three children, Robin Daly, Kevin Daly and Price Daly; five grandchildren, Cameron, Brittany, Keri, Olivia and Wyatt; six great-grandchildren, Tagan, Ryleigh, Gatlin, McKensey, Sawyer and Dillon; two sisters, Linda Garris and Iris Kilpatrick; and a sister-in-law, Jo Ann Grady Price.

In addition to her parents and husband, Pattie was preceded in death by two brothers, Burtrell and Dwight Price.

Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home.
