John R. McDaniel Sr., 77, 507 Franklin St., Mount Olive, died Wednesday at Kitty Atkins Hospice Center.
Funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at James T. Haskins Memorial chapel.
He was born Aug. 30, 1940, in Duplin County to Wilford and Mary King McDaniel.
He is survived by five children.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. The family will assemble at 209 Ward Drive, Dudley, for the funeral.
