GERTRUDE HAMILTON "TRUDY" WILLIAMS

March 11, 1926-July 14, 2018

Gertrude Hamilton “Trudy” Williams, 92, Princeton, died Saturday afternoon, July 14, 2018, in Woodard Care of Goldsboro.

Born March 11, 1926, in Harnett County to the late James Arthur and Minnie Caro Marshburn Hamilton, she was the widow of Joseph Jenkins Williams, and was preceded in death by both of her sons, Randy Williams and Eugene Williams; her brothers, Robert Hamilton and Glen Hamilton; and her sister, Juanita Marks.

When she lived in Raleigh, Trudy was a member and deacon at Fuller Memorial Baptist Church, and she became a member of Princeton Baptist Church when she moved to Princeton.

She was also a member of Pine Level Bridge Club.

A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018, in Princeton Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dwayne Batten officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., just prior to the service, in the church fellowship hall.

A private burial will be held at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh.

Surviving are her daughter, Diane Williams Langston and husband, Guy, of Princeton; seven grandchildren, Bryan Langston (Tiffany), Kevin Langston (Jo), Danielle L. Pope (Travis), Carrie Williams, Ereka Williams (Carlos Valdez), Eric Williams and Andrew Williams; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Flowers are acceptable or memorials may be made to Princeton Baptist Church, 211 S. Pearl St., Princeton, N.C., 27569.
